Prof. Dr. Jonathan Galloway

Prof. Dr. Jonathan F. Galloway was born in Washington, D.C. in 1939.  In 1961, he graduated with Honors in Political Science from Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. In 1967, he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Public Law & Government at Columbia University. From 1966 to 2002 he taught International Relations in the Department of Politics at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. He retired as  Professor Emeritus on the Irwin L. & Fern D. Young Presidential Chair. He has written in the fields of Space Law and Policy, American Foreign Policy and International Political Economy. His book "The Politics and Technology of Satellite Communications" (Lexington Books) was published in 1972. He acts as an Honorary Director of the International Institute of Space Law and co-chair of the Space Law Committee of the American Branch of the International Law Association. He is also a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, the American Society of International Law and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
